LA vs WAR highlights the travesty of a senseless war now going into its 6th year, giving LA artists a platform to exercise their freedom of speech. Hundreds of artists representing our diverse communities unite in delivering a universal message of peace and understanding, and offering resistance and opposition to the US government’s war policies.

There are billboards in L.A. that are LCD display. A series of about 5 images rotate advertising Cars, Movies, Clothes etc. Riding my bike to the studio today I witnessed the Skull and Crossbones of L.A. artist Skullphone imbedded into the LCD as one of the images. I went back and took some photos, because these things never last long. Touche! I can’t wait until downtown Los Angeles becomes like Blade Runner.

top of the morning to ya, here’s a few Irish concoctions that I think will get the customers dancing a jig to the bar on St Paddys day.

Irish Black Russian

– Coffee Liquer
– Vodka
– Guiness

pour the coffee liquer and Vodka over ice and then pour Guiness on top.

Irish Lady

– Champayne
– Midori
– Orange juice

Pour the champayne then a little OJ then splash the Midori. The midori will then slowly turn the drink green.

Irish Martini

– Vodka
– Dry Vermouth
– Irish Whiskey

Pour the Irish whiskey into a chilled cocktail glass. Swirl around the glass in order to coat; drain excess. Pour the vodka and vermouth into a cocktail shaker half-filled with cracked ice. Shake well, and strain into the cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon, and serve.

Irish Carbomb

– Guiness
– Baileys
– Guiness

Add the Bailey’s and Jameson to a shot glass, layering the Bailey’s on the bottom. Pour the Guinness into a pint glass 3/4 of the way full and let settle. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug. If you don’t drink it fast enough it will curdle and increasingly taste worse. Note I know from experience.. down it fast!!

Nutty Irishman

– Baileys
– Frangelico
– Cream

Pour ingredients into shaker over ice and shake until completely cold. Strain into a chilled, stemmed or rocks glass filled with ice
