Kal Banx and HVW8 Present Keep It In The Family, an Art and Music Exhibition Celebrating Los Angeles’ Creative Community

Opening night Saturday, November 7, 2026, at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA – HVW8 Gallery and Grammy-award winning producer Kal Banx present Keep It In The Family, an art and music exhibition bringing together a cross-section of Los Angeles’ creative community for an evening celebrating visual art, music, and culture. Opening night takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 5 to 10 PM at HVW8 Gallery, 661 N. Spaulding Avenue, Los Angeles.

The exhibition features artwork by Emmanuel Louisnord Desir, Fulton “Mr. Wash” Washington, Ava Brock, Selly Sy, Ade Ogunmowo, Nikkolos Mohammed, Steven Traylor, and Steven Harrington. It will remain on view after opening night, with additional viewing dates to be announced.

The opening celebration will include musical performances and DJ sets curated by Kal Banx, with friends and invited artists. Inspired by Paris’ Fête de la Musique and Notting Hill Carnival, the gallery’s back lot will become an open-air stage built around a curated sound system. Inside, immersive and interactive art installations will extend the experience throughout the gallery, alongside food and drinks reflecting the spirit of Los Angeles.

Keep It In The Family is part of an ongoing collaboration between HVW8 and Kal Banx exploring the relationship between visual art and music, and the creative communities that connect them. More than a traditional exhibition or music event, the project creates a space for artists, musicians, and audiences to come together, share ideas, and celebrate the culture they help shape.

ABOUT KAL BANX
Hailing from Dallas, Texas, and signed to Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), Kal Banx is an influential voice in contemporary hip-hop and R&B production. As executive producer of Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burning (2021), he helped craft an immersive sonic world, alongside contributions to Dreamville’s Grammy-nominated Revenge of the Dreamers III, Doechii’s projects, and collaborations with J. Cole, SZA, and Smino.

ABOUT HVW8 GALLERY
Founded in 2006, HVW8 Gallery operates in Los Angeles and Berlin at the intersection of contemporary art, music, design, and street culture. Over the past two decades, HVW8 has presented and collaborated with internationally recognized artists and musicians, including Mark Gonzales, Geoff McFetridge, Inner City Avant-Garde,  Little Simz, The Alchemist, Madlib, Parra, and Inés Longevial. Its projects have been presented at institutions including the Barbican Centre in London and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
