‘RHODA’ by Kal Banx

HVW8 Gallery Presents
‘RHODA’ by Kal Banx

“I made this project during a time I was rediscovering what home meant to me. Grief puts certain things into perspective—you don’t even realize what’s there until it’s gone. I realized that home wasn’t just a place, but a collection of feelings and experiences.

A conversation with my dad about the matriarch of our family shifted my perspective and connected me to stories of how we even came to be here. From that point, I began to see things differently—that’s what made RHODA.”
